Do’s & Don’ts

Please follow the guidance below on sharing information on social media. Our code of practise ensures quality of the data collected and volunteer safety and not adhering may reduce a participant’s compensation, or in extreme cases remove a participant from the study. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

1. Personal Symptoms

Avoid posting descriptions or images related to how you are feeling or any symptoms of infection. Sharing this information can lead to false expectations among others about the nature of the infection and potentially impact the study results if seen by other volunteers.

2. Study Details

Do not share any details or images related to the study assessments, procedures, paperwork, or the name of the study. All study-related information is strictly confidential.

3. Information About Others

Refrain from posting any details about staff members or other volunteers. This includes their names, pictures, or any recorded material, to protect their privacy.

4. Do Not Access on Wi-Fi

Inappropriate or Unsafe Websites:

  • Avoid accessing websites with inappropriate content, including those that are explicit, offensive, or illegal.
  • Do not visit sites that could compromise the security of the Wi-Fi network, such as those known for malware, phishing, or other cyber threats.

Study-Related Forums and Discussions:

  • Do not access forums, discussion boards, or social media groups where the study could be a topic of conversation. This helps maintain confidentiality and prevents the spread of misinformation.
  • Refrain from communicating with other volunteers by any method (e.g., phone, email, or social media) during the quarantine period. This is crucial to maintain the integrity of the study results.
